Crash games in Morocco and Africa: the 2026 figures

For press and research

In Morocco, online gambling escapes all local regulation: no online operator is licensed there, and a major share of stakes flows offshore. In the six African countries surveyed by GeoPoll in 2026, 95% of bettors bet from their phone. Here are the figures of a market nobody documents in French — all sourced, all verifiable.

  • The Moroccan market estimated between $237 million and $1.14 billion depending on scope — we publish both figures, with their sources.
  • ~40% of Moroccan stakes reportedly escape regulated operators, according to the MDJS itself.
  • The continent in 2025: $23 billion in online gross revenue, 77% of it outside licensed sites.
