Careers — open roles with our editorial team
We are hiring five freelance collaborators to grow our publication: French writing and editing, SEO assistance, video editing, editorial outreach and development. Everything is remote and written-first — this page presents the roles, how we work, and a hiring process that is identical for everyone.
Key takeaways
- This page presents the five open roles on our editorial team and exactly how to apply.
- We are an independent French-language publication about crash-game mathematics and education; we operate no game and accept no bets.
- All five roles are freelance and fully remote: French writing and editing, SEO assistance, video editing, editorial outreach, development.
- Our hiring follows four steps for every application: a written application, a scored practical exercise, a short call, a paid trial week.
- Our publication covers gambling: applicants must be 18 or older.
Who we are
We publish studies, guides and a podcast about crash games — their mechanics, their mathematics and the behaviour they encourage. Our figures come from simulations and censuses that we publish with their data, free to cite. Our line is simple: measure, explain, never promise a win.
We are a small independent newsroom. The site is funded by affiliate revenue, disclosed on our pages; that funding decides neither our topics nor our conclusions. For the full story of our history and editorial line, see our About page and our Press page.
How we work
We work fully remotely and written-first: every assignment arrives with a written brief, every review is written, every decision is dated. This suits autonomous people who like delivering clean work without a daily meeting.
We measure quality instead of guessing it: our pages, videos and campaigns follow written rubrics, and the same rubrics assess collaborations. Deadlines are announced in advance and deliverables are dated.
Our five open roles
All five roles are freelance collaborations, remote, open to adults only. Pay is agreed per profile; the trial week is paid at the agreed rate.
French writer / editor — SEO content and education
The work. Write and rewrite our guides and studies in French: crash-game mechanics, statistics, responsible play. You apply our editorial line — explain the mathematics, never promise a win, source every figure.
What we require. Impeccable written French, web or SEO writing experience, and factual rigour that your samples can prove. Knowing crash games is not required; writing clearly about a technical subject is.
The exercise to expect. Rewrite a weak section and answer a brief in 150 words, scored on French quality, structure and respect of the editorial prohibitions.
SEO assistant
The work. Audit our published pages, track positions and search signals, prepare fixes and keep our tracking sheets up to date.
What we require. Solid on-page SEO basics, real fluency with spreadsheets, and attention to detail that shows in your work samples.
The exercise to expect. Audit one of our published pages with our checklist and find five real defects, ranked by impact.
Video editor
The work. Edit our long-form videos and short formats — podcast episodes, Shorts and Reels — with French subtitles. Our videos start directly on the subject: no intro, no outro.
What we require. Mastery of an editing tool, a sense of rhythm, and clean subtitle practice (SRT files). A portfolio or links to your edits are essential.
The exercise to expect. Cut a 30-second short from supplied footage and an SRT file, with no intro and no outro.
Outreach assistant — editorial relations
The work. Identify the media and journalists who cover our subjects, prepare pitches around our published studies and track replies. We present a study only to an outlet whose beat matches — never mass mailings.
What we require. Correct written English (French is a plus), strong web research, and polite persistence: follow up once, cleanly, then move on.
The exercise to expect. Draft a pitch email for a supplied study and list ten target outlets with, for each, the reason for the choice.
Developer
The work. Build and maintain our publication's tooling: interactive calculators and simulators, page builds on our static site, small automation scripts and data helpers.
What we require. Solid HTML, CSS and JavaScript, Git, and real comfort with static sites — no framework required. Care for page weight and correctness counts as much as speed. Working language: French or English.
The exercise to expect. A short screening quiz, then a small build-or-fix task, scored on correctness and on the cleanliness of the deliverable.
How we hire
The process is the same for all five roles and for every application:
- Application. Take the screening quiz for your role (below): six questions and one short exercise.
- Practical exercise. A small, real exercise specific to the role, scored against a written rubric. Below the bar, we answer no, politely — with no second-chance queue.
- Short call. Thirty minutes to talk about judgment, communication and availability.
- Paid trial week. One week of real work at the agreed rate, then we decide on the collaboration together.
Apply
Applications go through our screening quiz only: pick your role and your level, answer six questions and one short exercise — then we reply by email.
Frequently asked questions
Are the roles really remote?
Yes, fully. We coordinate in writing, asynchronously; there is no office and no imposed hours, only announced deadlines.
Do I need to know crash games to apply?
No. For writing, a clear technical culture is enough — we train you on the editorial line. For the other roles, your craft skills are what count.
Is the pay fixed?
It is agreed per profile and volume, before the trial week. The trial week itself is paid at the agreed rate.
How fast do we reply?
We reply to complete applications within ten working days. Incomplete applications, without samples, cannot be processed.
Warning
This site is an independent media outlet: it operates no game, accepts no bets and promises no winnings. Our publication covers gambling reserved for adults; that is why applicants must be of legal age, just as players must be. If you choose to play on a third-party platform mentioned in our articles, do so responsibly: set your limits before you start and never try to chase a loss.
